Our Role
Hire Care Direct is a technology platform that connects families with independent caregivers. We do not employ caregivers, provide care services, or act as an agency. We do not screen, verify, endorse, or guarantee any users of the platform.
User Responsibility
Users are solely responsible for their decisions, interactions, and arrangements made through the platform. This includes communication, screening, interviews, scheduling, payments, and any agreements between families and caregivers.
No Employment Responsibility
Nothing on this platform creates an employment, partnership, or agency relationship between Hire Care Direct and any user.
Profiles and Information
Users are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information they provide.
Profiles must meet platform standards to be published. This includes, at minimum:
- A clear and recent photo
- Accurate service information
- A complete and truthful profile
Hire Care Direct reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to request edits, limit visibility, reject, or remove any profile or content that does not meet platform standards or align with the intended use of the service.
By submitting content to the platform, users grant Hire Care Direct permission to display and use that content for platform operations and promotion.
Safety and Due Diligence
Hire Care Direct does not conduct background checks or verify credentials. Users are strongly encouraged to conduct their own screening, including interviews, reference checks, and identity verification, before entering into any care arrangement.
All interactions and services are at the user’s own risk.
Geographic Use
Hire Care Direct is intended for use within Canada. Users are responsible for ensuring they are operating within applicable local laws and regulations.
Legal Eligibility
Users are responsible for ensuring they are legally permitted to work and provide services in their location. Hire Care Direct does not verify work eligibility, licensing, or immigration status.
Payments
Hire Care Direct does not process or manage payments between users unless otherwise stated. All financial arrangements are made directly between families and caregivers.
Fees and Refunds
Any fees charged for access to features or services on the platform are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
Limitation of Liability
Hire Care Direct is not responsible for any interactions, services, agreements, damages, losses, or outcomes resulting from connections made through the platform.
Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hire Care Direct from any claims, damages, or disputes arising from their use of the platform or interactions with other users.
Account Access and Termination
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to suspend, restrict, or remove access to the platform at any time, for any reason, including if users do not meet platform standards or violate these terms.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform means you accept any updates.
